The paper considers the theoretical foundations and
methodology for the study of cognitive diversity as antecedents of the
corporate capacity for change and innovation. It develops the procedure for
quantitative analysis of cognitive diversity based on causal maps. The problem
of emergence of dominant logic in the Cleantech Industry is approached by
analyzing the individual and shared mental models of the members of the
director boards. The authors discuss the results of this analysis in the
perspective of the impact of diversity among shared mental models of companies
and industry on the processes of new knowledge exploration and exploitation.
