Behavior: Theoretical Issues and Practical Realization. // Economics of
contemporary Russia 2014. ¹4 (67) Ñ.19-30.
Features of
institutional behavior of economic agents, which act in the frame of the
definite institutional systems and thus are not free from their influence, are
considered. Such behavior opposes to the behavior of homo economics from the
neoclassic world whose characteristics are given axiomatically – without a
connection to any institutions. Relations of different types of agents with
institutions and institutions with economic development are discussed, a schema
of institutional change leading to the various consequences is proposed. A
special accent is done on the risks of ignoring the specificity of
institutional systems of economies in transition in the process of their
reformation.
Keywords: economic methodology, institutional and evolutionary
economics, microeconomic behavior, institutions, economic development,
institutional transformation.

This paper analyses
the implementation of the international market entry strategy of a middle-size
company with a long history – Federal State Unitary Entreprise Goznak. The
author attempts to identify on a case basis the operationalization tools of the
concept of dynamic capabilities, and to substantiate the choice of particular
micro-foundations of this concept. The study is aimed to define the dynamic
capabilities of the company which (taking into consideration equal initial
opportunities of Goznak and other companies operating in the industry) enabled
the Russian company to come to the front in the high-tech market, surpassing
several major players in the industry.

business community and the «external» regulatory steps of the state aimed at
ensuring of equal and fair rules of the market activity and the social peace. The
article provides an assessment of the resulting effect of these gaps upon
weakening of mutual trust between individual entrepreneurs, mass social strata
and the state. It is shown, that these processes dramatically reduce the
economic activity results predictability, as well as the possibility of the
forecasting of the content, tempo and prospects of economic development.

Levin M.I., Freer
M.L., Shilova N.V. Xenophobic Slogans as a Political
Instrument: Economic Analysis. // Economics of contemporary Russia 2014. ¹4 (67) Ñ.64-75.
The authors present
a political and economic model of using xenophobic slogans to divert public
attention from economic shocks. An invented political term «external enemy» is
fairly convenient in this sense, as it raises the consciousness of the masses
during a serious economic decline because, unlike the «internal enemy», it does
not provoke civil unrest and riots. However, xenophobic slogans leads to a
spread of aggression, which negatively affects the production activities. Possible
scenarios that can happen after are presented in the form of simulations of a
theoretical model.
Keywords: xenophobia, political manipulation, economic shock.
