In the article the educational system is considered as an
external supplier of the main for the innovation economy of the resource – knowledge.
Analyzed are the real consequences, conducted in Russian education reform, and
their influence on development opportunities of innovative characteristics of
the economy. Considered education systems of several countries whose economy at
the present stage recognized as innovative, achievements and problems in this
sphere.
