The
article discusses the methodological framework for the assessment of competitiveness
of Russian banks as part of the cost approach. Due to the fact that the active
operations of credit institutions generate a basic income, the question of
assessment of the cost of raising resources is an important element in
assessing the competitiveness of the integrated bank. The author proposes and
substantiates the algorithm of calculation procedures, the introduction of the
correction values for the leveling of differences in the cost of funds raised
at different times. On the basis of current data on the 50 largest banks made
approbation calculations to assess the costs of funding, which is estimated on
the basis of their competitiveness. Additionally compared the cost of resource
generation by the large and small banks.
