Russia: World-System Approach. //

contemporary
Russia 2012. ¹2
(57) Ñ.28-46.
The
Russian government approved a strategy of modernization. However, the
implementation of this strategy faces many problems, relating to the
status of
our country in the world. Entering into international unprofitable
relations,
Russia can be left without perspectives of economic development.
The
globalization of the world market will increase the gap between the
center and
periphery countries of the world system. In addition the developed
civilizations will strive to implement the exploitation of the
peripheral
countries, receiving the world system rent from their natural resources
and
cheap labor.
Key
words: modernization, world system analysis, globalization,
periphery
countries, developed countries.
