A.K. Trust
Supporting Institutions in Online Dealings. Part 2.
This paper is
concerned with the analysis of institutions bolstering trust in an
electronic
commerce setting. Trust between the parties to Internet dealings cannot
be
secured without auxiliary institutions strengthening trustful
attitudes.
Individual electronic contracts are sustained by disseminating
information
about commercial behavior of potential partners and forming their
online
reputation. When dealing with companies, legal and social norms as well
as
certification, control and monitoring systems are regarded as
appropriate
instruments of building and developing trusting relationships.
