D.Ye. Humanitarian Traditions of Russian Political-Economic
Thought and the Economic Reality.
In the article the author considers the linkage between
political-economic research efforts and humanitarian orientations which
are immanent in civilizations. There is substantiation of the thesis
that the difference of the orientations originates a set of values of
economic agents, and this set justifies the specifics of economic
thinking and behavior. On this methodological basis the author
researches the political-economic differences between the so-called
Western and Russian civilizations. Along with the author analyzes the
phenomenon of discrepancy between the practiced economic policies and
humanitarian orientations which are characteristic of Russian school of
political-economic thought.
