Riumina H.V. Ecological Version for Economic Rent Use
     Economic rent is considered to be a compensation of the negative consequences of using the natural resources at all the stages of its processing – from mining to the final use. Quantitative analysis of economic rent, environment protection expenses and the ecological damage costs is given. When used to protect ecology,  economic rent provides the restructure of economy and increases the economic efficiency.

Romanova O.A., Tkachenko I.N. Social responsibility in corporate relations –regional analysis
     The article analyses the problems of social responsibility in corporate relations. The live-example being a number of big industrial corporatons in Ekaterinburg.

Guriev S. Barter in the Russian Companies – alternative reasons and empirical results
     The Author discusses the alternaitive macroeconomic and microeconomic reasons of the wide-spread barter transactions in the Russian economy in the end of 1990s. Methods of alternative theories’ testing is considered. The Russian and foreign scholars’ empirical results are compared. Special attention is given to dramatic reduction of barter transactions in the post-crisis period (August 1998), as well as the research problems still to be solved.

Khrustalev Ye. Yu., Tsymbal V.I.Specialties in planning at the enterprises of the military complex
     The article demonstrates the need and urgency of long-term planning at the high-tech, science-intensive enterprises. It is necessary to emphasize the specific character of these plans, their development and use at the enterprises of military complx. The main instruments to recover the Russian economy are declared to be norms and regulations, as well as the relevant government policy – and not the plans and programs pre se, the government should provide the policy attracting the funds for R&D and the use of high-tech at the enterprises of different forms of ownership

Vishnjakov I.V. Commercial Banks Evaluation Methods Based on Required Reserve Rates of Central Bank of RF
     Analytical survey of the Russian and foreign methods of commercial banks rating is given.  Provides the structure of aggregate bank rating based on the specific totality of rates. Proves the need to use randomized aggregate indices method (RAIM) for constructing the estimates of commercial bank functioning under uncertainty of non-numerical, fuzzed and incomplete information. Describers the experience of practical application of the method for the analysis and construction of the rates using the information on the comparative weights of special characteristics. The Author proposes to use modified method as a basis for uniform automated bank rating system using different groups of required reserve rates.

Ustujanina H. W. Privatization a la Russe: A “Different” Private Property
     Transformation process in the property relations, which has been under way in Russia during the last 15 years, is studied. Taking into account the changes in Russian legal system, the features of property institution are discussed. Special attention is given to problems of the relations between the authority and new proprietors.

Zoidov K. Kh. Economic Cycles and the Method of Anti-crisis Regulation in the Russian Transitional Economy
     Cycles in the Russian transitional economy are considered. A economic cycles concept is introduced anew. Regulation and control methods in the transitional Russian economy are proposed and advocated, associated with active formation of medium-term market cycles.

Issarov O. B. “Shadow” Sector in Alcohol Business: Estimates and Methods of Government Control
     The article considers the evaluation of illegal production and turnover of alcoholic products in 1990-2000 in Russia. Examining data on production, sales, tax payments and illegal turnover the Author concludes that despite a number of measures undertaken by the government, the scale of illegal production and sales in alcohol business grows and according to preliminary estimates will amount to 33-38% of the total turnover by the end of 2001.
Author calls tax policy a powerful means the government to regulate the volume of illegal production and sales of alcoholic production. The reason for "peaks" of output in the “shadow” sector in the 1990s is due to the dramatic fall of income of the population which in its turn "provokes" the demand on cheap substitutes.

Mizintseva M.F. Information Mechanisms for Regional Economic Systems’ Development
     Some problems of creation of information mechanisms of regional economic systems are considered. The information and the knowledge is treated as a resource and an element of economic system of Russia. The conceptual approach to the mechanism of information resource management and organization of information systems at various levels is justified.
