As the result of reforms over the last decade, Russia has gained the features typical for “peripheral capitalism” model described by R. Prebish and economists of Economic Commission on Latin America (ECLA) under UN. The article traces this similarity. Also, the essentially different social-economic model is described, which is characteristic for countries of East and South-East Asia.
